The Full Reveal of New 2012 Releases

We hope you are as excited as we are about these two new releases, Poolside and Yee Haw! Below are all of the pieces and parts of these great new collections. As always, our collections consist of two-sided patterned papers, a coordinating Snippet & Clippet sheet (with Mini Me patterns for cardmakers now on the back), an acrylic stamp set, variety pack stickies, cardmaker’s pack stickies, and our famous Oooh La La Layer laser cuts (available in 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 Mini Me sizes).

Young Man

This young man is growing in leaps and bounds and just amazes me every day with all that he is learning and accomplishing in his life. I wanted to acknowledge what a special person he is and how utterly amazed I am at the person he has become. What better way to do it than with TaDa’s Just Chillin’ collection?! I used one of the gears in the Geared Up laser cut as a frame for a special picture of my little fellow, leaving the background paper to show through the other two gears. The re-positionable stickers are fantastic for making your own cluster embellishments!

Be sure to come back in two days for the full reveal of TaDa’s two new collections; Yee Haw and Poolside! I’m dying to see the rest of the collections!! I don’t know about you but the wait until Thursday is killing me!!

Sassy For Sure!

My daughter, Shay, was playing dress-up. She put on her headband lopsided and told me she was Pocahontas. She is such a “Sassy One.” TaDa’s Goody Two Shoes collecton was perfect for showcasing this side of my ornery daughter. I love this girly line with a hint of “Sassy!”

Start Thinking About Who You Love…

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Can you believe it? If you can’t, then just head to the stores because there is pink and red and white everywhere. Since time flies so fast around here, I decided to jump on the band-wagon and make some cards.

This will come as no surprise to you all, but the colors and design in the BFF collection are simply divine. The papers inspired me to craft away on this card.

I just had to use the front and back of the Pink Paisley paper. The stripes are the base of the background. I pasted it onto a pre-cut open heart card board. Then I pasted the card board cut-out on basic pink card stock.
The whimsical cut-out heart is the reverse of the Pink Paisley paper. It is the same shape as the opening of the background.
Then I took a bit of the “snippets and clippets” background paper and covered another cardboard heart to pop up on top.
I also used the paper called Word Play to curl a paper flower.
Other things I threw int the card were bling, felt sticker titles, and Little Shoe Box Letters.

So it is as easy as saying Ta-Da!

Don’t let another holiday sneek up on you

Valentine’s day is right around the corner. So I created a sweet valentine’s card using just some cardstock and some embellishment goodies. We all buy the coordinating extras to go with the papers so we can have matching embellishments, so what happens when you created a layout but still have extra embellishments that you didn’t use yet.

Well for this card I used the Festivus Collection which is a fun collection that has papers for Valentine’s, Easter, 4th of July, Birthdays, Halloween, and Christmas all in one line. I left the patterned papers alone and grabbed the Pocket Notes and the Tag-a-ma-jigs for this one.

Now add a few more embellishments like the Doily, Chipboard Heart, Stick Pin, and Bakers Twine and you have a great Valentine’s Card with just a few embellishments.

quick and easy valentine’s day projects

Christmas is over and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Every year, this day sneaks up on me and at the last minute, you can typically find me frantically trying to figure out what to do for Valentine’s Day. This year I am prepared and am going to be ready for this day – after all I have upwards of 50 valentine’s to give out on behalf of my daughter!

I decided to make some treat bags and to use some bits of a few of TaDa’s collections to make them. I picked up the treat bags at the dollar store and filled them with goodies from Bulk Barn.

Here’s a look at the finished pieces:

I am bananas for you. Will you be my Valentine?

This one is my favourite and very easy to make! The bananas are Runts and I found them at Bulk Barn. I used the following TaDa products to create this project:

Balancing Act, Big Top collection
Happy Rays laser cut cardstock, from the Sizzlin’ Summer collection

For this project, I made the tag with the monkey on it, To do this, I layered cardstock behind the laser cut cloud shaped cardstock and then cut the monkey out of the Balancing Act paper. I then adhered letter stickers onto the tag. I printed out the sentiment and mounted it on the cardstock. As a final touch, I added a few hearts to the project.

Other products used include Bazzill cardstock, Carolee Creations letter stickers, Creative Memories heart punches, pop dots, Vibrance ink

You are doggone cute. Will you be my Valentine?

For this project, I used the following TaDa products:

Pink Paisley, BFF collection
Balancing Act, Big Top collection

For this project, I cut the poodle out of the Balancing Act paper and then pop dotted it to a circle that was punched out. I printed the sentiments out and adhered them to the base layer and added some twine as a final touch.

Other products used include: Bazzill cardstock, Creative Memories heart punch, pop dots, Vibrance ink, Jillibean Soup twine, Fiskars border punch

Will you o’fish’ally be my Valentine?

For this project, I used the following TaDa products:

R&R Tag-a-ma-Jigs, R&R collection
Hook, Line and Sinker, R&R collection
Red cardstock

Other products used include: Bazzill cardstock, Creative Memories heart punches, pop dots, Vibrance ink, Jillibean Soup twine, Fiskars border punch

For this project, I simply adhered the fish tag onto cardstock and then adhered both layers to the strip of pattern paper. I layered that piece onto black cardstock, after punching the edges with a border punch. As finishing touches, I added some hearts and twine.

When I think of January, the first things that come to my mind are resolutions, snow and new calendars. Today’s project is all about the calendar. I started off with a CD case. The Mini Mes paper from the Frozen Tozen collection is perfectly proportioned for the project. I simply cut the papers to size, layered them and added a calendar I created in photoshop.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame Layout

If you have kids, you have to have lots of pictures of them playing all different kinds of sports. Jock Jams is an amazing collection that allows you to scrap “all kinds” of sports. This is a picture of Jeremy’s baseball card from last year. Baseball has to be his favorite sport and he is ready for it to start.

The layout went together so quickly with the Tag A MaJigs and Snippets and Clippets.

For the layout, from my own stash I used a 1″ circle punch, my sewing machine, some buttons, Amuse Studio Grass craft stamp pad and a piece of Kraft cardstock.

Winter Layout

Here in Toledo we are having an unusual winter…no snow yet!! But I still wanted to use that wintery theme for the new “Layout of the Month Club” that I’m teaching at Bayer’s Pampered Stampers! I started out with two sheets of Snow Plow from the TaDa Creative Studios Frozen Tozen Collection.

I just love these little birds and didn’t want to cover up too many of them on the slopes but still wanted to have plenty of places for photos. So I decided to just have one large photo matte and a then used a tag from the Snippets and Clippets page. Then I added pockets with large plain photo mattes.

On the opposite page I had plenty of room for photo mattes and a journaling spot without covering up too much of the pattern. If you have looked at any of my work, you know that I can never have too many pockets. By using two layers of this great paper that has just a little shine and sparkle to it, I was able to create douple pockets under each matte.

I added small tags for additional journaling behind the journaling tags from the Snippets and Clippets. Again, I created the pocket by laying the journaling tag.

I added the little “Snow Much Fun” tag to the top. I also found these great little snowflake embellishments at my local office supply store! The colors were perfect for this layout!

So what appears as a pretty plain layout ended up with 8 secret pockets and lots of places for pictures and journaling. You decide if you want all the pockets to stay a secret or not!

For supplies I used two sheets of Snow Plow from TaDa Creative Studios Frozen Tozen collection and various tags from the Snippets and Clippets, various embellishments and cardstock.
