Focus On TaDa’s Product

today, i would like to show you another way to use your “fru fru frame”!

“Fru Fru Frame” is a set of 8 die cut decorative frames, and you can do lots of things with !

for example, paint it with white acrylic and cut it in two parts. Then put it on your page in two different places:

you can also make your own photo corner: cut the part under the picture and keep it for another photo corner. Decorate it with buttons and flowers.

Here’s what she had to say about TaDa Creative Studios…
“I love, love, love the versatility of the TaDa paper designs! I first fell in love with the Tea Hee Hee Collection. I think I used the Sprinkles paper on every card I made that month! It’s fun, it’s whimsical, and I love it! My next faves were Curly Q Collection and then Twinkly Tidings Collection and then I was hooked! The names of the collections are so much fun to say, who wouldn’t love TaDa?!”

Thanks to Brandi for taking the time to share her wonderful creations with us!
We hope that she inspired you to play with TaDa Creative Studios!

If you like to share, please link us in the comments section!
Have a great Tuesday (and the rest of the week)!!

Project Inspiration

June is a busy month for cardmakers…weddings, graduations and of course, dear old Dad.

tadafathersday

For my Father’s Day Card, I started with the Daddy ‘O Collection. The masculine colors and designs in this collection is what gave me the inspiration! I took advantage of some of the time saving accents (I did mention that June is a busy month for cardmakers, right?). The bottom of the card was created by simply combing the Pappy’s Patchwork paper (#DA08103) with the Daddy ’O Tag-a-ma-jigs’ (#DA08104) border. The house embellishment was created with a mix of Daddy ‘O Tag-a-ma-jigs and Daddy ’O Pocket Notes (#DA08105). Then to finish the card, a hand cut door and clouds were added. Done! Quick and easy too!

So what will you make for Father’s Day?!
To all the dads out there, Happy Father’s Day…a little early!

Ta Da Technique #10

Today I’d like to cover something I have been hearing often…fussy cutting. It is a quilting term. To fussy cut is to target and cut a specific motif that’s printed on fabric. But in our case, rather than fabric we will be working on paper!

I used Ring Around the Posy’s Collection’s Posy Palette paper and punched out all the flowers in the paper. Then I die cut a bare tree, placed it on TaDa Signature Collection’s Blue Skies. I proceeded to place all those flowers and popped up many with foam tape to make a blossoming tree. It was a wonderful element to my page!

Next time you want to do something different, why not try this technique?!

TaDa’s Featured Designer – Katie Renz!

Hi everyone!  My name is Katie Renz and I’m the newest addition to the TaDa Creative Studios’ Design Team.  Today is my first “official” day with all of you and I am thrilled to be here.

I fell in love with TaDa Creative Studios products the first time I saw them. I was lucky enough to be noticed by Annette and Mary (owners) and the Design Team when I entered a 3-D project last year for a contest.  For that project, I used my favorite paper from the Twinkling Tidings Collection.  I won the contest that led to more correspondence with Annette and Mary. Eventually meeting  them in person at CHA in Anaheim.  I was absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to meet these two lovely ladies and now here I am!

Some fun questions that we asked Katie:

What do you like us to know about you (Where do you live? Sports fan? A Foodie? Family?)?
I live in Washington state and have lived here most of my life.  Yes, we love apples, salmon, the Mariners, and wear Birkenstocks and/or socks with sandals. Of course, I think its the best place to be.  I also have a wonderful husband and 3 great boys, 2 of which are twins and am now experiencing being a mom of multiples.  Being in the northwest, we enjoy biking and hiking, and yes… we even love the rain.

What kind of paper crafter are you (Layout? Card? Mixed Media?)?
I started out as a scrapbooker, but a very functional one as in lots of pictures and little embellishments, and then a couple of years ago I signed up with a direct sales stamp company and started making cards and more cards.  Now, I see myself more dominantly as a card maker and all things 3-dimensional.  I adore little boxes and bags made out of all that glorious paper out there. But in reality, I enjoy all things “crafty”.

Where is your workspace and is it cluttered & crazy or clean & clear?
My workspace is down in my basement.  I have to thank my wonderful husband for creating a great place for me to go and a place that the boys can come down and play too.  I would have to say that my area is both of the above… I have a very organized area, crammed, but organized, and I try to start out with a clean counter, but as time and projects permit, I tend to layer and layer my messes.

What inspires you when you’re working on a project?
I would have to say that I love  card sketches and challenges to start those creative juices.  Paper, of course, is also a great inspiration.  For scrapbooking, I tend to just follow my photos and my layouts depend on the number of photos and the content.  Remember, I’m very functional when it comes to my scrapbooking.

How did you hear about TaDa Creative Studios?
The first time I was introduced to TaDa  Creative Studios was when I started some Design Team work for an online store called Limelight Papercrafts.  Mandy carried some stamps and paper and I fell in love with the designs and colors.  After that first purchase I was hooked.

Out of all the TaDa Creative Studios’ products which one is your favorite?
As of right now, my all time favorite line of paper is the Twinkling Tidings Collection.  This line is so elegant and clean, yet can be used in a variety of projects and in a variety of ways. I have a several cards to share with you today and I chose these because a) I love them and b) they show the diversity of the TaDa product line.  When I first saw the paper line, I was thrilled to see that it was double sided.  This creates limitless creative opportunities for both the scrapbooker, the cardmaker, and the general paper crafter.

Plus, how about all those matching stamps.  They are designed to coordinate with the gorgeous paper or can be used separately to create beautiful independent cards and projects.  My second card was created by just using a stamp.  I chose 2 very bold and contrasting colors to create my own background.

Thanks for spending some time with me and Tada Creative Studios.  I hope you enjoy some of my work today!
